[fdutils] Need help with weird floppy issue

Hi,

I missed this:

To run the motor you only need to connect the power cable and put the pin 16 of the 34 pin controller cable to ground (pin 15 is the closest GND).

  Simon has talked about slowing the drive speed down to try to help with this situation.  Is this a viable option?  Taking a peek at a drive I certainly didn't see any potentiometer anywhere, but if given guidance on where to put one I certainly have the skills to give that a try.  That's one funny looking motor on those things, though.
